Anna works as assistant trainer and rider for Mette Rosencrantz. Anna is an accomplished dressage rider herself, as well as being a certified trainer. Anna has competed internationally placing in the top of her classes, with both younger and older horses, up to FEI Intermediare I. In 2014 Anna received Custom Saddlery's "Most valuable rider" award at the Flintridge dressage show where she was also a High Point Champion in the upper level, open class on her own horse Lourdes.
Originally from Sweden, Anna started working with Mette in 2002. She returned to Mill Creek after three years at Flyinge University for Equine Studies. Anna graduated with honors and received a diploma as a stable manager. She also received a diploma by passing the Swedish groom exam, which ensures that all of the horses Anna is responsible for receive the highest level of care.
Established in 1661, Flyinge has been the National Stud Farm of Sweden and the training center for many of the Swedish Olympic and World Championship riders.
After graduating school, Anna received a scholarship to specialize in Dressage at the Ehrengranath Academy at Flyinge. Anna was able to stay for an additional year to train and ride with some of the top riders and trainers in Sweden and also ride some of the approved stallions at the Flyinge Stud Farm.
While In Sweden, Anna qualified her two young horses for the Breeder's Trophy at Flyinge and the Scandinavian Open at the Falsterbo International Horse Show: two major championships for young horses in Sweden.
Mette and Anna work together as a close team. Anna is part of the daily routine of training all the horses and teaching lessons as well as traveling with Mette to many FEI shows and clinics with other world-class trainers around the U.S.
Several of Mette's clients have entrusted Anna to be the primary trainer and competitor of their horses. This has resulted in both Anna and Mette's clients receiving numerous "High Point" awards including the USDF Championships.
One of many highlights in Anna's career has been the opportunity to train on Mette's former Grand Prix horse, Basquewille, as her schoolmaster horse. Anna trained on him daily while at the stable and competed on him up to Intermediare I before he was retired.
Anna competing Lourdes, a Swedish warm blood gelding that was breed at her parent's farm in Sweden. Together they have been very successful in the show ring with many wins and High Point awards.
In november 2014 Anna and her husband Paul had a little baby girl, Isabelle. She seams to already enjoy the horses and maybe one day she will also be part of the team.
