Meet Mette's Working Students:

Sofia Lindqvist

Sofia LindqvistMy name is Sofia, I'm 21 years old and from Sweden. I first came to Mette in April 2004. I came straight from riding school, where I rode once a week just for fun. I hardly knew how to wrap a horse.... so basically, everything I now know about horses, I've learned from Mette.
?
The days are filled with riding and taking care of all the horses, and I try to watch Mette teach or ride as often as I can. This year we've been going to a lot of big shows including the World Cup in Las Vegas which was the absolute highlight!
?
Last fall we went to Germany to train for Rudolph Zeilinger for four months, I got to see high class riding every day and we also had time to visit a lot of?training barns, see some shows and go to some big auctions. It really was a great experience and I enjoyed every moment!

I love horses and the best thing about my job is I learn something new everyday. It sure is hard work to work with horses but I wouldn't want to?trade it for anything!

Lindsay Smith

My name is Lindsay Smith and I am 22 years old. I have been riding for 15 years. I grew up on the small island of Martha?s Vineyard, located just off the coast of Massachusetts. In October 2005, I made the great journey across the entire U.S. to end at Mill Creek Equestrian Center. I came here to train with Mette Rosencrantz to further my dressage education in hopes of one day becoming an international competitor myself. Mette is a brilliant instructor who uses great imagery to help the rider better understand, feel and to conceptualize what he/she is trying to accomplish.

Already in the short time that I have been at Mill Creek, my riding has improved as well as my overall horsemanship. Mill Creek is an amazing facility which teaches not only how to ride (and ride well), but also overall care, responsibility and correct training. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with the great team of staff that Mill Creek has, as well as being able to work with such a world class instructor.
